Service: Roof Restoration
Square Footage: 146,890
Client: Global Real Estate Investment Firm
Location: Austin, Texas

Roof System

  • Type: Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO)
  • Slope: Low-Slope
  • Deck: Steel
  • Insulation: 3” flute-fill insulation
  • Cover Board: ½" (total core thickness approx. 3.5”)
  • Membrane: 60 mil white TPO, fully adhered at verticals and parapets

Problem

The logistics facility was experiencing persistent leaks throughout its aging metal roof system. Water intrusion was occurring at fasteners, panel joints, and panel terminations—key areas essential for maintaining a watertight barrier. These problem areas suggested widespread deterioration of the roof assembly, likely due to age, movement, and inadequate sealing.

NRP Solution

To resolve the issue without the expense and disruption of a full tear-off, NRP implemented a flute-fill metal retrofit system. This approach provided long-term watertight protection while significantly reducing costs. A fully adhered 60 mil white TPO membrane was installed, with flashings and fasteners meeting all manufacturer and code specifications. The system is designed to resist weathering and deterioration, and is backed by a 20-year warranty—delivering lasting performance and peace of mind for the client.
